Rhythms of the World
Non-profit music festival in Hitchin, Herefordshire
Our client
Rhythms of the World (ROTW) is one of the most significant – and best value – world music festivals in the UK, attracting up to 30,000 visitors to the two-day event.
What they wanted
Seal Island Media inherited a content rich site, that required a revamp and managed hosting.
What we did
We transferred the existing site to one of our premium hosting packages in preparation for up to 30,000 hits over the festival weekend. We redesigned the website to fit the latest branding design supplied by ROTW and added some extra pages as requested. Once the site was up and running, we implemented one of our premium support packages taking care of all updates, daily backups and support via our support desk. Seal Island Media continue to be involved with the ROTW communications team providing advice on digital services.

The Chequers Pub
Pub, restaurant and live music venue in Stevenage Old Town
Our client
The Chequers Pub in Stevenage Old Town serves pub food and real ale. It stages live music and other events.
What they wanted
The manager wanted an original website with a colour scheme that matched the décor of the pub. The site had to be effective on a range of mobile devices.
What we did
We based the site design on colours and patterns taken from photos of the pub. The site is responsive and displays well on all tested mobile devices. It includes an event calendar, ale and food menus, front page news and a photo gallery. All of these features are easy for pub staff to update. We created all the original content for the site and trained staff on how to update it as needed. http://thechequersoldtown.co.uk
